will cause the problems Saeder already reported earlier here: But I found a way to fix those: 5. once you are done you should have an imported DAZ character with a working Traditional Face Profile, but that character will not work correctly when you load it into Iclone8, motion director etc.

find the Jaw Open slider in your new group, dial it in to 100%, go to the Jaw group, find the missing Jaw Open slider, click the little lightning bolt icon besides it to set it to the currently dialed in shape, repeat for all other missing sliders 4. fbx file (the one you loaded into 3dxchange) by clicking the dropdown at the top and selecting 'FBX File', load everything into a new group, call it whatever you want 3. open in Iclone8, most facial animation will work, but Jaw movement will be missing, go to the Facial Profile Editor->Edit Expressions load the. export from DAZ with facial animation shape keys, load in 3dxchange and export to Iclone8 2. This will work when imported into DAZ Studio, but still only with the Genesis 1 figure. There is another thread about it here: And a ticket about it here: Also I think I just found a way to get everything working, facial animation plus motion director etc. The thing to pick for exports from Mixamo nowadays is FBX 6.1 with skin.

As soon as I figure it out, or if I get a handy tip from a fellow user, I’ll update this article.

I’ve been experimenting with importing the FBX into Blender, which works, however the bone structure is all wonky and I have no idea how to even it out – nor how to then export the data back so that DAZ Studio can understand it. Thanks to Chris for bringing this to my attention. It was great while it lasted I guess, but all good (free) things must come to and end. Although the Genesis character is still importable into Mixamo without issues, DAZ Studio no longer shows anything when the FBX file is imported. It appears that Mixamo have changed the FBX format upon export, to something that’s currently not supported in DAZ Studio (4.12.1 at the time of writing). I always liked him for his versatility, but knowing what he can do for future generations, I like him even better now 🙂 Update May 2020
